  • Renee, you have your LCSW, will I be receiving counseling services when I do coaching with you?"
NO! Coaching is not counseling. I will not be offering therapy/counseling/clinical work in a coaching setting. Although you will receive positive and thought provoking questions to keep you centered on your goals. However, I will be using my incredible listening and organizational skills to help you make a plan to G.Y.S.T!
  • How can you help me with my particular issues?
I am accustomed to working with many different people from all backgrounds and identities. I will listen to your story and meet you where you are at in your journey. Then together we will assess what you would like to begin thinking about changing in your life. Along with homework (not graded), readings, and other resources we will set up a new path to enlightenment for you.
  • How would your colleagues describe you?
Throughout my career they have described me as Calm, Hilarious, Direct, Intuitive, Witty, Badass, and Empathetic.
  • What is your philosophy around individual and societal change?
When it comes to individual change, I like to think of change as a spiritual journey and that we are all connected to one another more than we realize. As a past fellow of The Center for Asian Pacific American Women (CAPAW) ( I endorse the philosophy of “Whole Person Leadership.” I believe each risk we take is worth it because life’s richest outcomes come from summoning the courage to move forward. I hold firmly to the CAPAW principle that “it is not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you are not that does.” Change starts with you and that will show up in your relationships with your family, friends, community, and the world at large.
  • What will happen in my initial consultation?
At your FREE 30 minute consultation, we will determine if coaching is what you need in your life at this point. We will talk about the types of services requested, schedules, and fees.
